Mrs. Arizona Newell Pruitt, wife of Alva Pruitt, died at her home, 1 miles N.W. of Bainbridge Sunday night. She was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky, July 12, 1872. She was the daughter of George and Jemima Newell. She married Alva Pruitt on June 28, 1925. Surviving are the husband, five sisters; Mrs. Thomas Bridges, of Carpentersville, Mrs. Ed Shuee of near Bainbridge, Mrs. John Pickle of Montezuma, Mrs. Charles McIntyre and Mrs. Jesse Taylor of Roachdale; one brother James R. Newell of near Bainbridge, six step sons; Wilbur, Bert, Estal, Cecil, Harley and Donald; two daughter-in-laws and one Grandchild, Shirley Ann. Funeral services were Tuesday at Bainbridge Christian church with burial in Brick Chapel cemetery.
