Mr. Priest was a prominent citizen of the county and for many years and resided near Bainbridge in Monroe township. He was a native of Kentucky and removed to Putmam county when but a boy. He was Representative in the State Legislature from Putnam in 1863 and 1877. He was over seventy years of age. The remains were interred in Brick Chapel cemetery. Elder O.P. George Priest, a farmer and prominent citizen of this county, died at his residence in Monroe Township last night at 10 o’clock of pneumonia, aged about 70 years. The remains will be interred at the Brick Chapel cemetery. Mr. Priest was a native of Montgomery County, Kentucky and removed to Indiana at an early age. He was elected to the Legislature as Representative from this county in 1862, serving.....
