Military honors were accorded Frank Priest, World War veteran who was buried this afternoon following services at 2 o’clock at his home, 6912 Calumet Avenue, Hammond. M<r. Priest, who was 38 years old died Sunday. He enlisted in the quartermasters corps of the US regular army June 19, 1918 and was discharged July 26, 1919. Surviving are his wife, Bessie and three children.  He also leaves three sisters, Lulu Priest, Mrs. OD Hadfield and Mrs. HK Grant; a brother, Glynn Priest of Little Rock, Ark and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. LL Priest. Rev. Carrier officiated at the funeral this afternoon and interment was in Elmwood cemetery. An honorary color guard was furnished by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and a firing squad of World War veterans was supplied from the Hammond marine reserve unit. – kbz
