Dwight T. Priest, 84 of 225 Main St died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in Lafayette Care where he had been a patient for three months. He had been in failing health several years. He was born in Bainbridge and had lived in Lafayette for 50 years. He formerly was a was a cook and worked at various local restaurants. His wife, the former Viola Hicks preceded him in death in 1954. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWI and was a member of American Legion Post 11. There are no immediate survivors.
