PRIEST, David Badger - Putnam

David Badger Priest was born in Montgomery county, Kentucky, Dec 22, 1825; died at his home, two miles north of Brick Chapel at 1:25 o'clock on May 19 , 1904 having reached the advanced age of 78 years 4 months and 26 days. Deceased was the third son on Corbin and Fannie Priest, to whom ten children were born--nine sons and one daughter and all of whom together with the parents, are now dead, except James P. Priest, of Bainbridge and Oliver S. Priest of the same vicinity. David B. Priest came to this county from Kentucky with his parents arriving Nov. 30, 1829 and had continuesly resided in Monroe township ever since. He was married at the age of twenty five to Nancy Nelson who was also a native of Montgomery county Kentucky and who passed to the beyond about five years before her husband. To this union nine children were born, five of whom are now living, three sons, Charley C., Oliver C., and Eugene S who live in this county, and two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Van Hook and Mrs. Neva Davis, both of New Richmond, this state. – thanks so much to Teresa R for this one !
