Died at the residence of his mother in this city on Jan 6 of diabetes, Dr. Samuel c. Preston aged 46 years. Deceased had been sick for several months and of late had been confined to the house almost continuously. He was for many years a successful physician, practicing at Terre Haute and had a host of friends all of whom mourn his demise and sympathize with the bereaved relatives. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon; burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. – kbz

– the will of Dr. SC Preston, deceased has been probated. The entire estate with the exception of $100 is left to his sister, Mrs. Layne; the $100 is left to his nephew, Paul Preston. – kbz
