Floyd D. Powers, 73, Carmel died Feb 25, 2004 at 4:10 a.m. in St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. Mr. Powers was born June 21, 1930 in Putnam County, Indiana son of Ed Powers and Lucille (Woodrum) Powers, both whom preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Powers and one sister, Doris Helen Powers. Floyd was a 1948 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. He married Ann Early on Sept 25, 1949 in Crawfordsville, IN and she survives. He was a sales representative for 42 years with Superior Alloy Steel, retiring in 2003. Floyd was a member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. Floyd was also a member of Harbour Trees Golf Club in Noblesville. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb 27 in the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church 1605 E 106th St, Indianapolis with Rev. Mike Ireland officiating. Friends may call from 9 till 11 a.m. Friday at the Church. There will also be additional calling from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday Feb 28 at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St, Crawfordsville, IN with a private burial service following visitation. Burial will be in Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville. In addition to his wife, Ann Powers he is survived by two daughters, Janet Powers of Geneva, IL and Elizabeth Todd of Lebanon IN; one son, Joe Powers of Chatham, NJ; one brother, Russell Powers of Crawfordsville, IN and 3 grandchildren.
