PORTER, Myrtle Jane - Putnam

Funeral service were held Tuesday at 2 at the McGaughey & Sons Funeral Home, Russellville for Miss Myrtle Jane PORTER, 77, who died Sunday morning Sept 1, 1957 at Westbrook Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, The Rev. Glen Berg of Federated Church officiated and burial [was] in Seceder Cem. The daughter of James T. and Martha Ramsay Porter, she was born April 25, 1880. She was educated in the township schools and attended the Central Normal Music School, Danville. She taught piano for many years in her community. She was a member of the Russellville Federated Church & Friendly Bible Class. Survivors include a niece raised from infancy, Mrs. Mabel Spencer Potter; two sisters, Mrs. Zella Cunningham, a patient in Britton Nursing Home, Rockville and Mrs. Laura Webster of Russellville; a brother, James W. Porter of Judson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
