INDIANAPOLIS – Floyd M. Porter, 69, former Russellville resident, died Saturday morning in an Indianapolis hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1900, near Portland Mills, the son of John Walker and Margaret Williams Porter. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers. Surviving are seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Jordan Funeral Home in Indianapolis, followed by 12 noon graveside rites at Brick Chapel Cemetery near Greencastle.    --– jlr

Floyd Porter, 68 years old, 62 8 Massachusetts Avenue died yesterday in Marion County General Hospital.  Mr. Porter, a native of Putnam County, had been a resident of Indianapolis for 35 years. He worked as a freight handler many years and retired in 1964. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 135. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Jordan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery near Greencastle. There are no immediate survivors – kbz
