PLUNKETT, Jesse - Putnam

Roachdale-Jesse L. Plunkett, life-time resident of the Roachdale community, who was 72 years of age Sunday, died at his home after an illness of two weeks. Born June 6, 1882, in Putnam County near Barnard, Mr. Plunkett was the son of Garrett and Sarah Jane Beckleheimer Plunkett. He was married September 18, 1907 to Cora Alice Myers of Roachdale. Mr. Plunkett was a farmer by occupation. He held a membership in the Christian Church in Barnard. Survivors include the widow, two sons, Paul Plunkett and James Plunkett , both of Crawfordsville; his two daughters-in-law; three grandsons and one granddaughter. One daughter Edith Marie preceded her father in death. Two brothers also survive, Thomas M. Plunkett of Seattle Washington, and Arthur Plunkett of Roachdale. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 pm at the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale with the Rev. Ray Britton as the officiating minister. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.
