PITTS, Harold - Putnam

Harold Pitts, age 27, who resides near Mt. Olive died at the Putnam County Hospital this morning about 6 o'clock.  Death was caused by an obstruction of the bowels. Mr. Pitts entered the hospital about 4 days ago and underwent an operation for acute appendicitis.  Dr. Thomas Noble Jr was here in consultation with Dr. WM McGaughey Wednesday evening.  Mr. Pitts is survived by the widow and six children, the youngest child is only 10 days old. The parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Pitts who also reside near Mt. Olive and five brothers and three sisters survive. The widow was formerly Miss Erma Haffner. The deceased was a carpenter by trade. - kbz
