PITTS, Elijah - Putnam

Russellville, Dec 6 - Elijah Pitts, 70 years of age, well known resident of this community, died at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home. "Uncle Elijah, as he was known, suffered a stroke of paralysis early in June of this year from which he never fully recovered. He was born August 27, 1853, near Crawfordsville and spent the greater part of his live in this state. He was the son of Greenberry and Mary Pitts. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one grandchild. Short services will be held at the home Friday morning at 10 o'clock. The funeral services will be held at the Mount Moriah church, one mile north of Hollandsburg, and will be in charge of Rev. C.L. Airhart of Crawfordsville. - kbz

Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has been appointed by the Judge of the Circuit Court of Putnam County, State of Indiana Administrator of the estate of Elijah G.
