PIERSON, Donald Allen - Putnam

Donald Allen Pierson, 66, brother of Glendon Pierson of Mooresville and related to several Morgan County persons, died Monday morning at St. Francis Hospital Center at Beech Grove.  He had lived at Greenwood and had been hospitalized since Dec 9.  A retired truck driver, he was born Dec 12, 1917 in Roachdale to Harley Sr and Muriel Allen Pierson.  He was a member of United Methodist Church and served in the Indiana National Guard.  He retired in 1982 from Mid-American Truck Lines after 25 years. Other survivors include his wife, the former Elizabeth Morgan whom he married Sept 21, 1963; his stepmother, Helen Pierson of Florida; three sons, two daughters, another brother, a sister, 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel. The Rev. Albert Lorber will officiate and burial will be in Mallow Cemetery in Johnson County.  Friends may call at the chapel after 7 o’clock this evening and after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
