PIERCY, John - Putnam

On the 27th of April 1863 at his residence in Jefferson Township, Mr. John Piercy, an old and well known citizen of this county, departed this life, his wife having died on the 26th; they were buried in the same grave. The former was born in March 1799 the latter in May 1798. They were greatly esteemed by all who knew them. This makes three that have died in the same family inside of four days and the fourth family, the united heads of which have died since “this disease” has made its appearance among us.-kbz
