PICKETT, Myrtle Evelyn - Putnam

Mrs. (sic) Myrtle Evelyn Pickett, 63, Greenwood, died Wednesday night in Methodist Hospital. Born Jan 19, 1908 in Putnam County, Indiana to William Anderson and Pauline (Baker) Pickett, she had been in ill health for several years.  She taught in Greenwood school for several years and before that in Bainbridge, Mooresville and Spiceland, Indiana. She is survived by brothers, Joseph V. Pickett, Filmore, Ind; Clarence O. Pickett, Roachdale, Ind; a sister, Mrs. Cratie Maddox, Greenwood and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Greenwood Methodist Church and Indiana Retired Teachers Organization.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Chapel, JC Wilson Funeral Home.  Calling begins at 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Rev. Grester Kemp of Greenwood Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. – kbz
