Mrs. Rosetta Dawson Pickel, 78, died suddenly at the home of her son, Glenn D. Pickel of Carpentersville on Wednesday. She had been ill over a year; death was caused by a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Pickel was born near Bainbridge October 21, 1863, a daughter of Willard and Margaret Wilson Dawson. She was married April 7, 1884, to Marcus Pickel who died August 16, 1928. Mrs. Pickel spent most of her life in and around Carpentersville. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving besides the son at whose home she died are a daughter Mrs. Claude Hughes of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren; Merrill Hughes of Jeffersonville and Mark and Max Pickel of Carpentersville and a sister Mrs. Shillings of Indianapolis.
