Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel
Phillips, 69 who died Tuesday at her home in Coatesville, will be held Tuesday
at her home southeast of Coatesville will be held Thursday afternoon at 2
o’clock at the Coatesville Methodist Church. The Rev. John F. Deal will officiate.
Burial will be in the Coatesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Weaver
Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was born in
Putnam County, March 26, 1897, the daughter of Samuel and Emma Monnett Figg.
She was married October 6, 1917 to Olney Phillips. She attended school at
Limedale and was a member of the Coatesville Methodist Church. Surviving are the husband, three daughters,
Mrs. Agnes Burroff of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Thelma Clugh of Lafayette and Mrs.
Lela May Smyth of Coatesville four sons: Herbert of Rochester, Mich; Walter of
Greencastle; Frank and Clifford of Coatesville. Also surviving are two
brothers, Ernest Figg of Denver, Colo and Forest Figg of Greencastle, 19
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. – kbz
