Cecil Perkins, born Oct 15, 1918, in Roachdale Ind son of Orville Perkins and Goldie Woodrium, married Virginia Thomas Dec 12, 1943, Greencastle, Ind. Served in WWII, European Theater.  Member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Roachdale, Masonic Lodge No 602, Greencastle Commandry No 11 KT, Greencastle Council, No 107 R&SM Greencastle Chapter No 22 RAM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Indianapolis, Past President of the Putnam County Funeral Directors Association, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Member of Putnam County Sheriff Merit Board, Owner of Perkins Funeral Home, Roachdale and Ladoga, Ind.  Past President of Roachdale Lions Club, Organizer and Past President of the Optimist Club, member of Indiana Shetland Pony Breeders Association.  Graduated from Indiana College or Mortuary Science in 1947. Survivors, wife, Virginia, 1 daughter, Nancy Perkins of Roachdale, 1 son Cecil B. Perkins of Ladoga, 1 grandson, CB Perkins, Ladoga, 1 daughter-in-law, Kathy Perkins, Ladoga, Ind and the mother, Goldia Perkins, Roachdale, 1 sister, Ruby Everman, Roachdale, 2 nephews Phillip Everman, Roachdale, Steve Thomas, Greencastle and 1 niece, Lina Thomas, Washington DC, passed away at Winona Hospital, Indianapolis, Sunday Jan 8, 1978.  He will be at Perkins Funeral Home, Roachdale. Calling after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Thursday 2 p.m. Roachdale Presbyterian Church. Interment Roachdale Cemetery.  – kbz
