Granddaughter of James I. Nelson (1796-1860) and Pauline yates (1803-51).  Great granddaughter of Joshua Yates, Jr. and Nancy Higgins. Great great granddaughter of John Higgins and Nancy Woodrough.  Great great great granddaughter of Jesse Woodrough and Esther Buchanan.  Jesse (1735-1800) served as a pvt in Capt. Samuel Haw’s company 1777 Virginia Militia. Born Loudon Co VA died Mt. Sterling KY.
