“Carpentersville news” – Again the grim reaper, Death has been in our midst.  This time calling Uncle Abner Payton. The funeral was preached in the Presbyterian Church Tuesday morning after which the remains were taken to the Brown graveyard for burial. The deceased was getting quite old and had been sick for several months – BA Mann
