PAYNE, Frances Caroline Batman - Putnam

Mrs. Frances Caroline Payne, 80, died at her home just south of here Saturday morning. Funeral services were at Chastain funeral home Monday morning, with burial in Roachdale cemetery. She was born here March 28, 1856, the daughter of Thomas and Martha Batman. On December 23, 1906, she married Wesley Payne who died in 1932. Survivors are; sister, Miss Lucinda Batman, near here, three brothers Jesse and Henry O. of near here and Asa of Zionsville    ---- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker who graciously donated her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file.
