Patton – David M. Patton, a native of Bourbon County, Kentucky where he was born 64 years ago, died at an early hour on last Thursday morning at his home 523 Powell Street, Lebanon. His death was due to catarrh of the stomach and complications resulting therefrom. He had been ill more than a year. Mr. Patton was married 35 years ago to Sarah E. Lofling in Putnam County, Indiana. The children surviving are: Walter M, of this city; Mrs. Ella Lumpkins of East St. Louis; Charles V of East St. Louis and Mrs. Nannie Hazelrigg of this city. He also leaves a brother, John Patton of Millersburg, Ky and one sister, Nannie A. Patton who has been residing with him in this city. Mr. Patton moved to Lebanon from Putnam County Dec 5, 1883 and had been in the contracting business ever since he had been a resident here. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city. The funeral was held at the residence at 10 a.m. Saturday and was conducted by Rev. OH Carmichael. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery. - thanks to Kim H
