Mrs. Fannie Rector Parrish, 70 years old, wife of Everly Parrish died early Saturday morning at her home in Putnam County north of the Butler School House following a long illness. Mrs. Parrish was born in Dick Township, Clay County, the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin V. Rector and had resided in Putnam County with her husband for the past 21 years. She was a member of the Reelsville Methodist Church and an active worker in the various church societies. She is survived by the husband and five daughters: Mrs. Vivian King of Marion, Ind; Miss Olive Parrish at home; Mrs. Eule Timberman of Reelsville; Mrs. Eva Bond of Reelsville; and Mrs. Irma Eggers of Marion; 10 grandchildren; two brothers LV Rector of Hammond, Okla and WR Rector of Brazil and four sisters: Mrs. TS Jenkins of Bruceton, Tenn; Mrs. Arthur Cartwright of Saint Marie, Ill; Mrs. FL Hade of Bridgeport, Il and Mrs. Nitie Hummell of Cincinnati, Ohio. Short funeral services were held at the home at 10 o’clock Monday morning, followed by services in Brazil at 11 o’clock, the Rev. Mr. Rayle officiating. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery at Brazil. – kbz
