A special from
Muncie, Ind in regards to the death of James Parker, who formerly resided here
says: The post-mortem examination of the remains of James W. Parker, found
along the bank of White River east of Muncie yesterday was conducted today and
reveals a very peculiar suicide. Parker’s body was found lying on the bank with
his face buried in 3” of water. The postmortem found his lungs full of water,
and the verdict is that he willfully laid down and held his face under the
water until strangled to death. The case is a peculiar one and is the result of
despondency. - kbz
