George H. Parker, 7(sic 77?), RR 1, Fillmore died of natural causes Oct 14, 1992 at the Heritage House Convalescent Center in Greencastle. Born Oct 15, 1918 in Morgan County, he was the son of Vern Clyde and Nettie Florence Wallace Parker. He married Freda Hurst May 19, 1939. She survives.  Mr. Parker was a graduate of Belle Union HS in 1936 and attended Purdue University. He was a farmer in Putnam and Morgan counties until ill health forced his retirement. He served as a deacon for the Stilesville Christian Church. Surviving besides his widow are a daughter, Carl Ann Conner, Indianapolis; one son, Richard G. “Rick” Parker, Stilesville RR1; two sisters, Virginia Herring, Carmel and Norma Seller, Merrillville; one brother, Wallace Parker, Coatesville RR2; two granddaughters, Anne Conner, Fort Collins, Colo and Kara Conner, Indianapolis; two grandsons, Patrick Conner, Indianapolis and Matthew Helmer, Stilesville RR1. His funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Rev. Tom Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Stilesville cemetery.
