Benjamin S. Peck, who has been spending the winter with his son, Edwin Peck, near Waveland died about 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.  Mr. Peck suffered a stroke of paralysis several days ago and this caused his death. The funeral services will be held at the home of Edwin Peck at 8:45 o'clock Friday morning. The body will be brought here and short services will be held at the grave in Forest Hill Cemetery at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. Solon of Waveland, will officiate. Mr. Peck was 81 years of age and had spent his entire life in this county. He was a retired farmer. He made many acquaintances and friends in this city and vicinity who will mourn to hear of his death.

Mr. Peck is surviving by two children, Mrs. Edwin Peck and a daughter, Mrs. William Durham, who lives northwest of this city. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters - WH Peck; Campbell Peck; Leonard Peck; Mrs. Sarah Nutt; Miss Harriet Peck and Mrs. Pierce, the latter of Terre Haute. – kbz
