OWENS, Verda - Putnam

Miss Verda Owens who for the past several years has been a resident of Crawfordsville, died at Culver Hospital Monday afternoon following a brief illness. Miss Owens succumbed to complications having been a medical patient at the hospital for the past few days. During her residence in this city she lived at 309 East Jefferson street. Miss Owens was born Sept. 15, 1897, and was the daughter of Mrs. Effie Owens of Russellville. Her death occurred at 1:20 o’clock Monday afternoon. Besides the mother, an aunt and uncle, Bertha Hyten and Tilman Hyten of Ladoga survive. The body was taken to the home of Mrs. Anna Foster in Ladoga Monday where funeral services will be held.
