ONG, Maude Rockway - Putnam

Mrs. Maude Ong, 79, widow of John William Ong, Sr died shortly after noon Monday in the Maple Grove Nursing Home, East Jackson St. She had been a patient at the home for the past four years and prior to that time had lived with her sons, John and James Ong, both of Muncie.  She was born in Greencastle but had spent most of her life in Muncie.  She was a member of the Pocahontas Lodge and Daughters of America. Surviving in addition to the sons are eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held there at 10 a.m. Thursday with Dr. Arthur W. McDavitt officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. – kbz
