Clarence OLIVER, 65 of near Judson died at his home Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. He had been ill for about a year and a half and serious for a year. He was a retired restaurant operator and trucker in Indianapolis for 36 years. He moved to Green Twp about 4 years ago to retire. He operated a small farm. Mr. Oliver was born in Montgomery County July 19, 1885 the son of John and Alice Oliver. On Sept 20, 1906 he was married to Frona May Banta, who survives. He was a member of Prospect Lodge No. 714 F & AM Indianapolis and of the 101 Men's Bible Class of the Broadway Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to the widow include one son, Frank R. Oliver of Indianapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Delaney of Indianapolis and Mrs. Aaron Keller of Logansport and a brother in Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 at the Machledt Funeral Home, Rev. Ray Britton of Roachdale will preach the sermon. Burial will be in Bethany Park Cemetery, Marshall. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. - transcribed by kbz

Clarence Oliver, 65, former Indianapolis resident died yesterday in his home near Waveland in Parke County. Born in Montgomery County. Mr. Oliver lived in Indianapolis from 1910 until four years ago, when he retired and moved to his farm. At one time he owned a restaurant at 22nd street and Talbot Avenue. Previous he was in the coal business. He was a member of Prospect Masonic Lodge and the 101 Men’s Bible Class of the Broadway Baptist Church.  Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Lachlet (sic – Machledt) Funeral Home, Waveland. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Marshall.  Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Frona Oliver; a son, Jack Oliver, Indianapolis; and two sisters, Mrs. Elbert Delaney, Indianapolis and Mrs. Aaron Keller, Logansport - transcribed by kbz
