New Market - Charles Aaron Oliver, 87, lifelong resident on a farm near Whitesville died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson Nursing Home near here. He had been seriously ill 5 months. Born Jan 26, 1866, on the farm near Whitesville where he lived all his life, Mr. Oliver was the son of Jackson and Emily Wilson Oliver. He married Amanda Himes in 1907 at Ladoga. He was a member of the New Market Chritian Church. He had been engaged in farming on the home place all his life. Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Cosby, Waveland and Mrs. Mary Mueller, Columbus, Oh; a brother, Frank Oliver, Russellville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles E. Oliver in January 1952 and two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the Reeves Funeral Home.
