Hargo C. Obenchain, 66, Rt 1, Decatur, Mich formerly of Norton Ct, Mishawaka, was pronounced death on arrival late Monday morning in Lakeview Hospital, Paw Paw, Mich where he was taken by ambulance after becoming suddenly ill. Mr. Obenchain was born in Fincastle, Ind Nov 18, 1902 and lived in Mishawaka for about 35 years, before moving to Decatur 8 years ago. On Sept 6, 1924 in South Bend, he married the former Margaret Jensen who survives.  Mr. Obenchain worked 34 years from the Indiana Bell Telephone Co retiring in 1960 at which time he moved to Decatur. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, John M. Obenchain, Edwardsburg and Harrison C. Obenchain Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren; three brothers, Henry Obenchain, Bell, Calif; George Obenchain, Ladoga and Willard Obenchain, Lebanon, Ind and one sisters, Mrs. Jake Lucas, Lebanon. Mr. Obenchain was a member of the Pioneers of Indiana Bell. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Officiating at the services will be Rev. Arthur Whitaker of the Willow Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. - transcribed by kbz
