OAKLEY, Anna E. Cassity - Putnam

The death of Mrs. Anna E. Oakley, wife of John C. Oakley of Greencastle, occurred Sunday evening at their home just south of here. She was born in Missouri in 1860, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cassity. Mr. Cassity lost his life in one of the engagements of the Civil War when his daughter was but a small child. She was married to Mr. Oakley, October 30, 1879 at New Maysville, where she still has a large number of friends. Those surviving are the husband; Miss. Gertrude Oakley, Mrs. John W. Herod of Greencastle; Roy C. Oakley of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Mrs. Lillie Stafford of Kalamath Falls, Oregon. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
