"Putnamville News" -- The death of James W. O'Neal occurred last monday evening. James was born May 6, 1867. He united with the ME Church in the winter of '91. His faith was full in Christ even to the last so much so that he spoke of death as not ending all but only the going home where sorrow flees away and sin tempts no more. He had no fear of death. No doubt but tha ttoday he is where Jesus sits and has hear His welcome voice sayikng, "Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and Ill give you rest." He suffered but bore it paitnetly saying, "I don't know why no but some time soon I'll know." Many were the kindness shown by friends but not the least one of them was forgotten by him. Funeral seravices were conducted at the family residence by Rev. Carter and McCullough Tuesday afternoon. Those attending the funeral from a distance were Mrs. Peck of Indianapolis; George Peck of Martinsville; Wm. Jenkins a newphew of Charleston, Ill; Jas Jenkins and wife of Greencastle; Mrs. Wm. CUnningham and daughter, Hiram Jenkins; AE Akers and JE McCoy of Cloverdale.
