O'HAIR, Ferne Irene

Ferne Irene O'Hair, 29 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry O’Hair, died at 11 o'clock Sunday night at the O'Hair home on south Locust street. Sarcoma of the neck was the cause of her death. For the last two months Miss O'Hair has been confined to her home. She underwent an operation in the autumn of 1920 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and another in March, 1921, but they gave her only temporary relief. During the last eight years she was employed at the Cammack Studio. Because of her long term of service there, Miss O’Hair became well known in Greencastle. She has lived in Greencastle since 1912. Before coming to Greencastle, Miss O’Hair had made her home with her parents who lived at that time on a farm north of the city. Miss O’Hair was born July 22, 1892 on a farm located three mile; north of Brick Chapel. Her parents have lived in Greencastle since I913. Miss O’Hair was a graduate of the Bainbridge High School and of the commercial school of Central Normal of Danville, She was a member of the Bee Hive Rebecca Lodge and of the S. C. C, Club. Besides the father and mother, those who survive are: Mrs. Howard Dean, Mrs. Gladys Irwin and Miss Beryl O’Hair all of Greencastle Funeral services will be held’ Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock in the Methodist Church at Brick Chapel. Rev. Henry L. Davis pastor of the College Avenue Church will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Brick Chapel cemetery Friends may view the remains Wednesday morning at the (whoops - missed the ending - sorry kz)
