MG (Shoat) Nichols, 78, Rt 1, Fillmore, died Thursday morning at Putnam County Hospital. Mr. Nichols was born Aug 2, 1898 in Marion Township, the son of Lonnie and Laura Estep Nichols. He attended Putnam County schools. He married Marjorie Bennett in 1936. He worked at EC Atkins Co 15 years, International Harvester for 5 years and presently was engaged in farming. His survivors include his wife, Marjorie; three sons, Darrell at home; Robert, Fillmore and Walter, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Eddie Griffith, Beech Grove and Mrs. Fern Blomer, Ariz; a sister, Mrs. Luie Reeves, Fillmore and two brothers, Cecil and Henry, both of Fillmore. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at Wheeler Funeral Home in Coatesville. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Coatesville Cemetery. – kbz
