Mrs. Millie Cricks Newgent, age 62 years died Saturday at her home nine and one-half miles northwest of Greencastle. Mrs. Newgent was born Nov 19, 1883, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Barbara Ann Cricks Newgent (sic). She was united in marriage to Thomas H. Newgent on Nov 2, 1904. He preceded her in death Oct 2, 1927. A son, Raymond Floyd, also preceded her in death in Feb 1923. Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Mamie Goddard; Mrs. Naomi Eubanks; Mrs. Madeline Clodfelter; Mrs. Frances Stewart and Kathleen and Josephine, both at home; three sons: Manfort, Donald and Clyde Newgent; two sisters, Mrs. Frank McAlinden and Mrs. Thomas Holland; one brother, William Cricks and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the MP Church near Clinton Falls with burial in the cemetery nearby. The Rev. Raymond Skelton will officiate.
