Kewanna – Manford C. Newgent, a member of the Fulton County Co-op died suddenly Monday afternoon of a heart attack at his home near Kewanna. He was 48. Born May 8, 1911 at Greencastle, he was the son of Thomas and Millie Cricks Newgent.  His marriage was Dec 17, 1939 to Rosetta Woolington and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert and John at home/ a daughter, Betty at home; two brothers, Don and Clyde both of Greencastle; six daughters, Mrs. Floyd Goddard; Mrs. Willard Clodfelter and Mrs. Claude Stewart all of Greencastle; Mrs. Franklin Ford, Roachdale; Mrs. Naomi Eubank, Indianapolis; Mrs. Ermal Kaley, Plymouth. He was a member of the Methodist Church; Oddfellows; grange and farm bureau. Rites are pending at the Harrison Funeral Home in Kewanna. – kbz
