Died in Clinton Township on March 24, 1892, Mrs. John D. Newgent.  Deceased had been complaining of not feeling well for some days and had been under medical care. The family had retired after midnight as she appeared to be resting quite well – when the household awoke in the morning the wife and mother had departed to the better world. The sudden death is supposed to have resulted from heart disease. – kbz

Found dead in bed on the morning of March 24, Lucinda, wife of John R. Newgent, aged 46 years. She leaves a husband and three little daughters, besides a host of friends to mourn her demise. Funeral services at the Dunkard Church conducted by Rev. Harshberger.
