NELSON, David M. - Putnam

Mr. David M. Nelson, Route 4, Greencastle, passed away late Friday evening at the Putnam County Hospital.

Complete funeral arrangements will be announced by the Whitaker Funeral Home in Greencastle.

David Morris Nelson, 72, passed away Friday.

Bill, as he was known to all, was born July 26, 1904, in Greencastle. He was the son of David O. and Pearl Nelson. He has spent his entire life in and around Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife Grace; a son, Robert, Russellville; two daughters, Betty Perkins, Greencastle, and Evelyn Shaughnessy, Brownsburg.

He is also survivied by five brothers, Harold, Frank, Louis, Harlan, all of Greencastle, and Francis (Buster), Georgia; and two sisters, Dorathy [sic] Littrell and Ruth Goodman, both of Greencastle. Fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services were held at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Greencastle Monday, with Rev. Morris Finch officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
