NEIER, Harriet J. Blair - Putnam

HARRIET J. NEIER, 78, Route 16, Brazil, died Sunday evening after suffering a heart attack in a Greencastle restaurant. Born Sep 20, 1916 in Washington Townxhip, Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Muncie) Blair.

A Reelsville High School graduate, she had been a cook for public schools in Brazil, beginning at Beer Ridge, then later at Jackson Street Elementary before retiring from Forest Park Elementary. Mrs. Neier was a member of the peniel United Methodist Church.

In 1938, she married Gaylor Neier, and he preceded her in death in January 1974. Survivors include four sons, William G., David L., Rick E., and RandyJ. Neier, all of Brazil; a sister, Hester Rissler, Bainbridge; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters.

Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday from Miller Memorial Chapel,Brazil, where friends may call 4-9 p. m. Thursday. Rev. Doug Voyles will officiate. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery.
