Dr. GC Neale VS died yesterday at his residence on Walnut Street of typhoid fever after an illness of about two weeks. Dr. Neale was  about 39 years of age and a native of Canada. He was a graduate of the Ontario College of Veterinary Surgery of Toronto and member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Society. He came to Greencastle in April 1891 and had succeeded in establishing a good practice. He carried $2,000 life insurance, $2000 in the New York Life and $1000 in the Ancient Order of Foresters.  He leaves a wife and two sons, one about 5 years old, the other about 7 months to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the family residence corner Walnut Street and College Ave at 3 o’clock this afternoon. The remains will be taken to Park Hill, Ontario this afternoon on the Knickerbocker – kbz

Dr. GC Neale, the well known veterinary surgeon died Sunday afternoon of Brights’ disease after an acute illness of two weeks.  Mr. Neale had been a resident of Greencastle for about six years, coming here from Park Hill, Ontario, Canada.  He moved his family to Greencastle about a year ago and they have been residing in Mrs. Spurgeon’s property on Walnut Street opposite the Belnap. Dr. Neale was a prominent member of the Greencastle Redman and the Foresters of Canada. The remains will be taken to Park Hill at 5:21 this afternoon, funeral services preceding at 3 o’clock, conducted by Dr. Gobin at the family residence.  Dr. Neale was an upright gentleman, honest and true and his loss will be keenly felt by the community.  He was 39 years of age.  A widow and two small children survive him.
