“Papa and Mamma Have Left Baby” – The caption is the title of a new song written by Arthur Love of Waco, Texas and dedicated to little Frank McNorton of Bainbridge 7 years old, who was deserted by both his parents when he was at the tender age of 18 months. His life has been so eventful that this great song writer took it up and wrote a song for his support and to aid in his education. The sad story of his life has been told and sung all over the great state of Texas by the author in concerts. By a strange fate the little fellow drifted away to the World’s fair and spent some months in the great city. The court gave Frank to Mr. A. Finley of Bainbridge, who is proud of the lad. The song will probably be placed on sale in this city.

Frank A. McNorton, 53 years old, 2848 North Illinois Street, an auditor for the Audit Bureau of Circulation, died yesterday in his home after an illness of 9 months Mr. McNorton was born Aug 14, 1889 in Bainbridge. He was graduated from Bainbridge HS, LaSalle Extension University and lain Business College and had been employed by the Audit Bureau of Circulation 27 years. He traveled throughout the US and Canada as an employee of the bureau and moved to Indianapolis last August.  Mr. McNorton was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Bainbridge. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McNorton; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Bay of Charleston SC; an aunt, Mrs. Alta Hector of Bainbridge and an uncle, AF Ford of Bainbridge.  Funeral services will be at 8 o’clock tomorrow night in the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary. Cremation will follow.
