McGAUGHEY, Rafe Ellis - Putnam

Russellville - Rafe E. McGaughey, 84, of Russellville died Sunday morning in Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. He was a retired farmer and trucker. Mr. McGaughey was a member of the Russellville Christian Church. Born June 19, 1893 in Putnam County, he was a son of Frank and Lora Carrington McGaughey. He was married Sept 1, 1917 in Putnam County to Waunetta Ratcliff. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert Riggs of Noblesville; Mrs. John Grimes of Greencastle and Mrs. Francis Gross of Danville; two sons, John F. of Logansport and Edgar of Russellville; two sisters, Mrs. Donald Webster and Mrs. Letha England of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2p. m. Tuesday in Russellville Christian Church with Rev. Leo Thompson and the Rev. Larry Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.
