Henry Clay McGaughey, one of the oldest citizens of Brown Twp died on Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Claude Jarvis in Crawfordsville. He suffered a cerebral hemorrage 3 years ago and has since been an invalid. Funeral services on Tuesday afternoon at the Russellville Christian Church were in charge of Rev. Ollie and Stanley McGaughey. Burial in the Blakesburg cemetery SE of Russellville. He was the son of Michael and Sarah McGaughey and was born near Greencastle Dec 4, 1853. He lived for a number of years east of town on the Russellville road and was a successful farmer. Mrs. McGaughey died in 1912. He was a member of the Russellville Christian Church. He is survived by two sons: Raymond of Russellville and Arthur of Crawfordsville; and by 3 daughters, Mrs. Claude Jarvis and Mrs. Ernest Byrd of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Archie Collings of Anderson.
