McGAUGHEY, Elizabeth Guilliams - Putnam

Elizabeth Guilliams, wife of John McGaughey, Sr. was born Feb 3, 1828 and departed this life on February 21, 1893 at her late residence near Russellville. She was born of a family of 8 children, hers being the first birth registered in Russell Township. So that her entire life had been spent here, she became the wife of John McGaughey Sr on May 12, 1850. She was the mother of 9 children, all of whom survive her except the oldest daughter, who has been dead some 20 years. Of her immediate family the survivors are four: Daniel, Mrs. Mary Long, John and Mrs Lydia Leonard, the latter living in Kansas. She is survived by 8 of her 9 chilren. One son lives in Michigan and one in Wisconsin... she was laid to rest in the quiet little graveyard of Hebron.
