McCRAY, Zella Wilson - Putnam

Izola Rogers of Dayton, Ohio and Helen Rogers, Mrs. Ruby Harding, Loy Wilson and Oth Wilson of Indianapolis were here Tuesday morning to attend the funeral of Mrs. Joseph McCray of Vincennes, a former resident of Roachdale. --Source: Roachdale Times 2/1/1940 Funeral services were held at the Chastain funeral home Tuesday morning for Mrs. Zella McCray, 58, of Vincennes, a former resident of Roachdale. Mrs. McCray died Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks duration. Mrs. McCray was the daughter of Joseph and Belle Akers Wilson and was born in Roachdale. She was married to Joseph McCray in 1905. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are the husband; two sons: Cecil and Joseph both of Vincennes: two brothers: Frank and Ote Wilson both of Indianapolis and one grandson.
