McCOY, Matilda E - Putnam

On Saturday afternoon in South Greencastle a double bereavement befell the McCoy family. Shortly after one o’clock p.m. Wilmer E. McCoy, the oldest son of the family died of pneumonia and in less than three hours his mother, Mrs. Matilda E. McCoy followed her son from time to eternity. The son’s age was 20 years old. Nine children survive to mourn the loss of mother and brother. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.  - kbz
