McCARTY, Simon - Putnam

The body of Simon E. McCarty was found in his room at the Higgins Hotel where he has lived since 1913. He was a native of the state of Ohio and was 81 years old. The body was shipped to Cardinton, Ohio, Sunday morning for internment. He was born in Washington Co., Pa., March 21, 1860, died January 12, 1935. One Sister, Dora E., and three Brothers; John, Isaac and Bonnie preceded him in death. Survivors are Martha Gleason, Olive Green, Belle Harrison of Columbus, one Brother Frank of Marengo, niece Bernice Sayre of Columbus, Nephew, Dellis McCarty of Merango.
