Clarence C. McCall died at 6:30 o’clock Friday evening at
the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. CT Willison, 900 Edgar
Avenue. Death followed a stroke of paralysis last Monday. The funeral will be
held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Schilling Funeral Home with Rev.
James M. Lively officiating. Burial will be in Beals Cemetery near Trilla. Mr.
McCall was born in Putnam County, Indiana Sept 20, 1870 but passed most of his
life in Illinois. He came to Mattoon about 15 years ago to make his home with
Mr. and Mrs. Willison after living for a long time on a farm near Monrose. He
led a retired life in Mattoon. Mr. McCall was married twice. His first wife was
Miss Nancy Randolph of Johnstown who passed away 30 years ago. His second wife
was Miss Effie Kingery of Montrose who passed away a number of years ago.
Surviving the daughter, Mrs. Willison are four brothers: Thomas McCall of
Galesville; Henry McCall of Neal; John McCall of Mattoon and Louis McCall of
Pana. He was a member of the Christian
Church of Johnstown - kbz
