MYERS, Velma Bidgood - Putnam

Mrs. Velna Florence Myers 77 of 505 Vandalia St, died Tuesday evening in Culver Hospital after an illness of three weeks. A Putnam County native, she was born April 25, 1889 to Sumner and Margaret McCloud Bidgood. She married Charles Myers May 28, 1914. The husband survives with two sons, Herschell (Chuck) Myers and Udell Steele of Crawfordsville; a brother, Walter Bidgood of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Mrs. Myers was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Milo Riggs will be the minister and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. – kbz
